The salary of a plumbing service technician in Switzerland is substantially influenced by professional experience and by additional qualifications in areas such as heating or building services engineering. Those holding further education, for instance the federal certificate as a service technician, can generally achieve higher pay. The type of installation looked after also plays a role: specialising in complex building services or heat pumps is frequently better remunerated than purely standard installations.
